To mark the beginning of Scottish Interfaith Week 2019 and celebrating this year’s theme; ‘Eat, Share, Love’, our Faith to Faith programme will take you on a tour of two places of worship where food plays a crucial role – the Hindu Mandir and Sikh Gurdwara.
Join us from 12noon at the Glasgow Hindu Mandir for a guided tour and to witness Hindu puja, including the Aarti ceremony. This will be followed by a delicious vegetarian lunch.
At 1:30pm we will then make our way on foot to the nearby Central Gurdwara Singh Sabha, 128 Berkeley Street where we will have a guided tour of the stunning purpose-built Gurdwara learn about the significance of the free Langar or community meal in the Sikh tradition.
All are invited to attend this wonderful free event. However tickets are limited so please book now to avoid disappointment.
Organised by Interfaith Glasgow and St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art.
We look forward to seeing you there!
