Hand in Hand: Papercutting Session

The Scottish Council of Jewish Communities and Al Masaar Falkirk, are jointly hosting a hands-on papercutting session in the Dawson Community Centre in Falkirk, on Sunday 12 November, 2017 1.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.

Join Abi Pirani and Maryam Golubeva, papercutting artists from the Jewish and Muslim faiths, and explore the history of this delicate art form in their religious and cultural contexts. You will also get the chance to make your own picture using special manicure scissors.

All are welcome – we particularly invite young people aged 11-25 of all faiths to this event.

This event is free, though donations are welcome to help cover costs (suggested amount £10/£5). Booking recommended. Transport from Glasgow available upon request.
