Interfaith Scotland public training course taster sessions

Organised by Interfaith Scotland

Location: Online (via Zoom)

Date: Wednesday 11th November 2020

Come along to get an insight into two of our highly-praised public training courses: Three mottos for equality, diversity and inclusion and Tackling unconscious bias.

This session will explore elements from the half-day course Three mottos for equality, diversity and inclusion. The full course consider three phrases which each summarise a recurring pattern in how we understand and work with the differences between ourselves and others. The mottos cover: the impact of the dominant identity; unintentional discrimination and why it is often hidden from us; and the difference between intention and impact in communication.

The taster session will also briefly explore our course on Tackling unconscious bias. Unconscious bias describes the often negative associations between groups of people and particular traits that our culture teaches us in a range of ways. It influences our decisions, assessments and responses to individuals, albeit on a level that we are usually unaware of. Come along to get a sense of how our training courses are delivered.
