Interfaith Conversation Café: Pilgrimage and Retreat
November 13 @ 11:30 am - 2:00 pm
Would you like to hear unique stories about pilgrimages and retreats? Join Interfaith Scotland’s next Conversation Café.
You will get the opportunity to hear fascinating stories from our ‘human books’ about their life-transforming experience visiting world-renowned pilgrimage sites across the world, including Mecca in western Saudi Arabia, Santiago de Compostela in Spain, the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Mahalaxmi Hindu Temple in Kolhapur, Tibetan Buddhist monasteries in India, and Holy Isle and Iona Abbey in Scotland.
We encourage participants who have been on a pilgrimage or retreat to a holy or sacred site to bring one or two photos to share with others during the discussion session (a photo on your phone is good enough).
Light vegetarian refreshments provided.
Our Interfaith Conversation Café aims to encourage interfaith dialogue, awareness, and understanding by uniting people from different religious traditions, spiritual, or humanist beliefs in conversation over light refreshments. The conversation café will be a space where participants feel safe, fully engaged, and open to listening to and learning from each other. We hope to provide a platform that gives participants a chance to meet people from another faith or belief background, or none, in an informal, fun, creative, and yet meaningful way.
The venue will be Dundee Quaker Meeting House.
