Our third annual Interfaith Forum Aberdeen, in partnership between Aberdeen Interfaith and Grampian Regional Equality Council (GREC), as part of local Scottish Interfaith Week 2021 celebrations.

This will be a hybrid or blended event, accessible in person at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, North Anderson Drive, Aberdeen, AB15 6DD, and also as a virtual online event, via Zoom.

We will welcome inputs from:

  • The Youth Group at Kintore Church, about youth representation and local climate action
  • Charlie Meiklejohn, from Christian Aid, to talk about the impact of climate change in the global south, and interfaith projects to take action there
  • Scott Herrett, a local Just Transition Organiser for Friends of the Earth Scotland, to give us some context around COP26, and Just Transition in a city like Aberdeen, so synonmous with fossil fuels.

Following these inputs in the first hour, we will facilitate smaller breakout discussions on what what we’ve heard, and towards how we, Aberdeen’s Interfaith community, can play our part!
