Heroes and heroines continually inspire people across faiths and cultures – their stories found in scriptures or shared as spoken word among communities and generations. Whether these figures dared to stand up against prejudice, defended their communities, or their actions exemplified the beliefs of their faith, many find themselves uplifted or motivated by these tales.

How can we be inspired by heroic figures from our faith? Who motivates you from your faith? To you, what makes a hero?

This will be an intimate, participatory dialogue event with breakout rooms where you’ll have the chance to meet people from different faith and belief backgrounds. Participants are encouraged to bring stories about heroic figures from their own faiths to share during break-out room discussions. All welcome!

On booking you will be asked to state your religious background. In order to ensure the best experience for everyone, we work to make sure each small group includes people from the traditions under discussion (in this case Sikh and Jewish). No matter what your background – religious or not – there will also be time for you to share from your own perspective.
