Tree of Life: LGBTQ+ Stories of Faith
November 16, 2022 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
A tree is made of many parts: roots, trunk, branches, leaves. Each tree is different and has a unique story to tell. Yet, these stories are connected across space and time.
Like trees, our stories can take many forms: poetry, photographs, doodling, sculpting, music, painting, and dance are just a few of these.
Glasgow LGBT+ Interfaith Network invites you to come along to this special interfaith event, where you are welcome to share a song, photo, poem, sacred object, or other item that inspires or guides your own story of faith.
Then, with the help of a fun, easy-to-play game borrowed from ‘quick fiction’ techniques, we will create or build upon LGBTQ+ stories of faith to add to a ‘Tree of Life’.
Open to LGBTQ+ folks, allies, and all of good heart, this event is free.
Glasgow LGBT+ Interfaith Network is made up of members and friends from Quaker, Jewish, Pagan, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, and other faith traditions. It was founded in 2018 by Katie Sproull and Scott Curland Chase, but members have been proudly co-organising interfaith events for the LGBTQ+ community in Glasgow since Autumn 2017.
