Once your event has been published on the Scottish Interfaith Week website, it’s time to start promoting it!

In this toolkit you will find images and template text you can use on social media, and some useful tips to make promoting your event easier and more effective.

Tag the festival

Like and follow Scottish Interfaith Week on social media and tag us in your social media posts:

Use hashtags

Include the festival hashtag in your social media posts about Scottish Interfaith Week, this way we can find your posts easily and share them on our accounts:

Quick tips

Create an event on Eventbrite or Facebook to easily share and promote your event. Find out how to create an event: Eventbrite or Facebook.

Post regularly on social media about your event in the lead up to Scottish Interfaith Week. Tag people and organisations involved in your events. Tag organisations you think would be interested in sharing your event with their audience.

Join relevant groups on Facebook and share your event in the groups.

If you have a newsletter include a link to your event’s sign-up form.

Share photos from previous events to build excitement. (Make sure you have the consent of everyone in the photos.)

Social media images

Use our new images in your social media posts. There are several versions for you to choose from.

You can download all the images here, or you can select an image below, then right-click it in the new tab and save it to your device.

Note about Instagram

The social media post templates will need to be slightly altered for Instagram.

Links are not clickable when included in posts so you will need to remove any URLs.

Then you can use one of the following sentences to direct people to where they can find a clickable link (we have a link to the festival website in our Instagram bio, most people who use Instagram will know to look there):
