Signing up to our mailing list

Scottish Interfaith Week collects the personal data including name and contact details of those who sign up to our mailing list. This could also include further details such as organisation and faith or belief if provided voluntarily. We process this data for the purpose of keeping mailing list subscribers informed about our work including news, opportunities, events and fundraising through email updates and invitations. This helps us to tailor our email content and deliver the organisation’s purposes as a registered charity. You can unsubscribe or change your preferences at any time by clicking the link at the bottom of each email.

Registering for events

Scottish Interfaith Week collects the personal data of those who register to attend an event. This includes name, contact details and organisation/faith or belief if provided voluntarily. We process this data for the purpose of event delivery and to gain a better understanding of our effectiveness as an interfaith organisation that aims to reach out to people of all backgrounds. We use a third-party provider, Eventbrite, to store this information and send emails to attendees. Attendees may be sent an email following an event if the content is directly related to the event they attended. Details collected in this way will not be added to our mailing list unless explicit consent for this is given.

Using our website

Simply by browsing this website, Scottish Interfaith Week will not record any personal data about you except your IP address. Your IP address is the individual identification number that is assigned to your computer when it is connected to the internet. It is required to be used by our EU-based servers to enable you to browse the website. It is also stored for up to a month in logs to enable us to investigate errors.
