Join two local interfaith groups for a walk for peace in remembrance of the lost and fallen in wars.

Renfrewshire Interfaith Group and East Renfrewshire Interfaith Forum will be hosting this interfaith event on Remembrance Sunday. A wreath of white poppies will be laid at the foot of the Peace Pole in the Garden. There will be short readings, songs, poetry, and prayers – words on the theme of wellbeing – shared by people of different faiths who have agreed to do so.

Attendees will meet outside Wheatley’s Cafe in Barshaw Park at 2.45pm, and walk to the peace pole in the walled garden together at 3pm. This annual event typically finishes before 5pm.

Friends of Barshaw Park are supporting the event, and everyone who walks is invited to Wheatley’s Cafe for soup afterwards.
