Today marks Day 7 of Scottish Interfaith Week, an annual festival uniting people of all faiths and none across the nation.

Today’s events include community events led by East Kilbride Interfaith Forum, Moray Interfaith and East Renfrewshire Faith Forum, prayers for peace with Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Scotland, and a Quaker Meeting with guided meditation.

Multicultural Gathering (East Renfrewshire Faith Forum)

We will have speakers from different religious and cultural backgrounds giving short talks on the theme of ‘Community’,

“We at East Renfrewshire Faith Forum are proud to be part of Scottish Interfaith Week.  Our event on 18th November at 11 o’clock in the Mandir is a welcoming, open invitation to all who wish to share ideas.  It is intended to promote honest and open discussion through engagement and interaction with other faiths or those with no faith.”

Community with East Kilbride Interfaith Forum

Join East Kilbride Interfaith Forum to reflect on the importance of community in faith traditions and to share our hopes for the future of the communities we are part of.

Celebrating Community – Moray Interfaith

Moray Interfaith are hosting a community celebration including light refreshments and information stalls to learn about different faiths and beliefs.

Gathering in Stillness

This informal event will be a chance to learn about Quaker practice by joining in a short Quaker Meeting with a guided meditation.

Prayers for Peace

A get-together for people of all faiths and none to pray for the innocent victims of the war between Hamas and Israel and to pray for overall peace in the region and all the world.

Football Journeys with a Bearded Genius

Book Week Scotland & Nutmeg present authors Nooruddean Choudry & Daniel Gray for 90 minutes of conversation about football and life.
